The New People Ops Infrastructure Layer: Why We Believe in Aragorn
We’re welcoming Aragorn AI into the DVC portfolio, a category-definer in HR tech. Aragorn is building the People Ops Operating System, a unified platform that brings together HR data, analytics, and agentic AI assistants!
HR and People Ops teams face siloed data across multiple vendor systems, requiring months-long integrations via expensive consultants, custom code, and constant maintenance, which hinders strategic work. Manual syncing wastes hours on errors instead of innovation, while fragmented tools limit proactive insights on trends like retention or capacity. Aragorn's platform deploys in days via a no-code Integrations Engine connecting any HR system (API, EDI, webhook, file feeds), an Analytics Studio for interactive dashboards on workforce metrics, and an Agentic Studio for AI virtual analysts handling reporting, compliance, benefits queries, and policies without engineers.

HR Stacks are Fragmented, and Not Suited to the Intelligence Era
For decades, HR teams have been forced to operate in a fragmented environment. Employee records, engagement scores, payroll data, and performance metrics are scattered across multiple systems that rarely communicate with each other.
Only 39% of HR teams can effectively execute engagement plans, because accessing the right data is nearly impossible without an integrated HR stack. Oracle’s HR tech stack study echoes this, noting that poor integration leads to data silos, inefficiencies, and conflicting information.
Disconnected tools create not just inefficiencies, but also low adoption rates and unreliable workflows. Best-practice guidance now explicitly calls for HR stacks that break down data silos and provide real-time workforce insights across systems. These challenges are exactly what Aragorn addresses, positioning itself as the foundation for a modern People Ops function.
Market Opportunity in HR Tech and People Data
The HR tech market is sizable and growing rapidly. Analysts estimated the global HR technology market at $37.66 billion in 2023, projected to reach $81.84 billion by 2032, growing at a 9.2% CAGR.
Meanwhile, Aragorn’s data indicated that HR tech will grow from $23.98 billion in 2022 to $39.90 billion by 2029, at a 7.5% CAGR. In regions such as the Middle East, HR tech is projected to double by 2032 as digital transformation accelerates.
These numbers highlight the scale of the problem and the opportunity. Companies are increasingly looking for solutions that unify HR data, provide analytics, and enable intelligent automation: essentially an operating system for People Ops.
Aragorn AI: Unifying HR Data, Analytics, and Agentic AI
Aragorn is building exactly this foundation. UNLEASH describes it as “the easiest and most scalable solution for HR and People Ops teams to automate HR data flows to and from any vendor system”.
The platform combines an Integrations Engine, Analytics Studio, and Agentic Studio, enabling HR teams to unify data, run analytics, and deploy AI assistants that operate within Slack or Microsoft Teams. Business Wire highlights Aragorn as “building the People Ops Operating System that unifies HR data, analytics, and agentic AI assistants”.
The company advertises more than 1,000 HR and IT integrations and claims that any HR configuration can be built on its platform. VC News Daily notes that Aragorn helps HR teams move from reactive firefighting to proactive, strategic leadership
Founders, Traction, and Roadmap
Founded in 2022 by siblings Ed and Gladys Adjei, Aragorn combines deep technical expertise with domain experience. Ed previously scaled YourCause to over 500 enterprise clients before its $157 million acquisition, while Gladys built secure systems at Raytheon.
Aragorn’s roadmap is clear: unify HR data, analytics, and agentic AI assistants into a single People Ops OS, providing a conversational access point for non-technical HR teams.
Why DVC Invested
At DVC, we look for category-defining companies that address fundamental operational challenges. Aragorn solves a clear pain point in enterprise HR: fractured data, disconnected systems, and manual workflows that block intelligence and automation. The team’s deep expertise, early traction, and ambitious roadmap give us confidence in their ability to define the People Ops OS category.
We are excited to partner with Ed, Gladys, and the Aragorn team through our DVC Advantage program, supporting product and technology strategy, executive mentorship, go-to-market initiatives, corporate governance, and talent acquisition. With the HR tech market poised to more than double over the next decade, we see Aragorn as a company critical to modernising People Ops and enabling data-driven, AI-powered teams.
