DVC Leads Simplismart’s $14M Series B to Accelerate the Future of Enterprise AI Inference

We’re proud to lead Simplismart’s Series B round with a $5M investment, continuing our journey with this standout DVC portfolio company alongside Accel, Shastra, and Nvidia. Simplismart is building the inference and deployment layer enterprises need to run generative AI models in production, fast and cost-efficiently, without losing control of their own data.

Enterprises adopting generative AI typically navigate two distinct paths: managing end-to-end workflows through traditional MLOps platforms, or leveraging third-party inference APIs for rapid deployment. Simplismart's cloud-agnostic platform gives enterprises a declarative, Terraform-like way to fine-tune, deploy, and monitor generative AI models on their own infrastructure, closing that gap.

AI Spend is heading to Inference

Tokenmaxxing is officially a thing of the past as companies rapidly blow through AI token budgets, shifting leadership focus from mere developer adoption to a clear return on investment. As enterprises move from AI pilots to full production, they face rising GPU bills, stricter latency targets, and reliability demands that off-the-shelf tooling cannot handle. A transition from experimenting with AI to depending on it makes optimized inference an urgent market trend and exactly what Simplismart is built to address.

Training a frontier model happens once. Running it, for every user and every query, happens forever. That ongoing cost is becoming a much larger part of enterprise AI budgets.

The AI inference market is already large and scaling rapidly. Grand View Research estimates the global AI inference market at roughly $113.5 billion in 2026, growing to $253.8 billion by 2030, at a 17.5% CAGR. Gartner forecasts $23.3 billion of AI-optimized IaaS spending will go toward inference in 2026, surpassing training spend for the first time and accounting.

We don't have to take this thesis on faith. Look at where late-stage venture capital has gone over the last year. Baseten's valuation climbed from $2.15 billion to $5 billion in January 2026, then to $11-13 billion by June, on revenue that reportedly tripled in a single quarter. Fireworks AI is reportedly in talks to raise at a $15 billion valuation, up from $4 billion just seven months earlier.

This isn't one company's bet. It's an entire category being repriced by some of the most sophisticated capital in the world. Simplismart is India's answer to the same thesis, at an earlier and far more capital-efficient stage.

Simplismart: A Cloud-Agnostic Inference Engine Built for Enterprise Control

‍

Simplismart's platform optimizes across three layers at once: model-serving, infrastructure, and model-to-GPU-chip interaction, that allows companies to deploy open source models at ease.

The results show up directly in customer economics. Reported client outcomes include cutting one company's image-generation costs from $30,000 to under $1,000 while halving inference time, and a healthcare client deploying a prescription-processing vision model at 95% accuracy.

“Inferencing is emerging as one of the biggest game changers in AI economics,” said Dayakar Puskoor, Managing Partner at Dallas Venture Capital. “Simplismart is rapidly emerging as a global player helping enterprises run AI workloads more efficiently, while enabling cloud providers to turn GPU capacity into scalable services. We are backing this fast-growing company because of its proven technical prowess in addressing a critical need in the AI infrastructure ecosystem globally, as well as the strong execution capabilities of its founding team.”

Simplismart's enterprise and positioning has also earned it a close relationship with Nvidia: the company is an early member of the Nvidia Inception Program and has worked directly on Nvidia Inference Microservices (NIM) integration.

Founders, Traction, and Roadmap

Simplismart was founded in 2022 by Amritanshu Jain and Devansh Ghatak, who met as roommates at BITS Pilani. Jain previously solved cloud infrastructure problems at Oracle Cloud; Ghatak worked on search algorithms at Google.

The two bootstrapped the company's first production customers on less than $1 million before raising a $7 million Series A led by Accel in October 2024, with participation from Shastra VC, Titan Capital, DVC and Notion co-founder Akshay Kothari.

Today, Simplismart serves enterprise customers across healthcare, content, productivity, and SaaS, including HeyGen, Tata 1mg, Mindtickle, InVideo, and Dashtoon.

Its roadmap is focused on deepening enterprise-grade inference across modalities, LLMs, speech, vision-language, and image generation, while extending its Nvidia partnership further into the deployment stack.

Why DVC Invested

At DVC, we look for category-defining companies solving fundamental infrastructure problems. Simplismart addresses a clear pain point in enterprise AI: the choice between control and performance that no enterprise should have to make.

Backing Simplismart aligns directly with our thesis of investing in the AI infrastructure layer. With the global inference market set to more than double by 2030, Simplismart is critical to how enterprises run AI in production, not just experiment with it. The team's capital efficiency, deep expertise, and early traction give us full confidence in their ability to define this category out of India.

We are excited to partner with Amritanshu, Devansh, and the Simplismart team through our DVC Advantage program
